WHO MAY ENTER: Anyone with a digital camera.
WHAT TO ENTER: Any photograph taken any time with any type of digital camera. Titles are allowed. Written descriptions and other notes will not be considered with entry.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Landscapes, cityscapes, nature, architecture, people, travel, societal, food, fashion, action, sports, whatever your creative heart desires. Quality. Composition. Lighting. Cropping. Emotion.
SPECS: 300 dpi, at least 5"x7" in JPG, TIFF, or GIF format. Submit digital or manipulated photographs to achieve your desired effect. Scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable. Maximum file size is 5 MB.
FEE: 1 entry: $25, 2 entries: $45, 3 entries: $65, 4 entires.
Subsequent entries: $15 each.
JUDGING: Panel Chairperson: Susan Johnson, founder of Gnosis Ltd., a non-profit organization seeking to preserve and present the significant creative contributions of individuals who have changed our world.

DETAILS: An entrant must hold all rights to a photograph. If your photo is chosen for as a finalist, you will be contacted for a model release from the subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject's parent or
guardian, prior to publicaton. Desert Living judges reserve the right to disqualify contestants who are unable to provide a model release.
Photos previously published or pending publication, or that violate
or infringe upon another person's copyright, are not eligible. By
entering the contest, entrants grant Desert Living the right to publish and use submitted photographs in print form in a future issue or issues, for advertising and promotion of the magazine, for exhibition, and for commercial products. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit.
WINNERS: 8 winners will be chosen and published in the Sept/Oct Anniversary Issue.
